Media Create Japan Software Sales: July 23rd-29th

The week of July 23rd-29th is one of the best weeks in Japan I can remember. Just look at the chart, there is a total of six debuts and they're all descending straight from pole position down to number 7. Likewise, this is also the most diverse sales chart Japan has seen in ages, with games from the Wii, DS, PS2, PS3, PSP, and even the X360. Mario Paty 8 is this week's big debut, but Hot Shots Golf 5 still managed to sell extremely well by moving 152k games. And it looks like Japan has some love for Elder Scrolls, as the X360 version sold 40k! Maybe Bethesda and Spike should think about bringing over the PS3 version immediately?

This week's top 10 chart averages out to roughly 82k games.

1. WII - Mario Party 8 (Nintendo) - 264,953 / Debut
2. PS3 - Hot Shots Golf 5 (Sony) - 152,379 / Debut
