Knockout Kings 2001 released for PS2.

Electronic Arts has shipped the awaited Knockout Kings 2001 to retailers nationwide. Featuring in excess of 40 boxers, EA promises an enhanced gaming experience. The game's brawlers include contemporary male and female fighters to be boxing alongside legends of the sweet science. Boxers claiming exclusivity to Knockout Kings 2001 include Joe Frazier, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, Lennox Lewis, Shane Mosley, and the venerable Muhammad Ali. Gamers will have to consider the strength, weight, height, speed, reach and stamina of their fighter in order to win consistently. Also, the title will feature the welcome addition of signature moves and fighting styles for most prominent fighters.

The game's soundtrack has a distinct hip-hop flavor, as artists like Tony Touch, Dilated Peoples, Tash and the Black Eyed Peas have all lent their styles to the album. Al Bernstein, Max Kellerman and Teddy Atlas will handle the game's commentary.
