PS2 games delayed in Japan.

PSX Extreme has recently learned that Sony Computer Entertainment has delayed numerous PlayStation 2 titles in Japan. Ponies Poin, an atypical platformer, is now slated for a release sometime in 2001 -- Sony has not cited a specific date. Phase Paradox, Sony's awaited survival horror title, was bumped back from its March 22 release to June 24. Furthermore, Rimokokoron will now drop in June rather than March, while Toro, a Tamagochi-style game, will see the light of day in Summer. Finally, Popolocrois Story III, a cartoon-style RPG, has been delayed indefinitely. Strangely, Sony released no details concerning the catalyst for the delays. Holdbacks this numerous could stall the optimistic projections regarding the PlayStation 2 installed base.
