Sony to be present during All-Star weekend.

PSX Extreme has recently learned that Sony plans to display its PlayStation 2 with the awaited NBA ShootOut 2001 at the NBA All-Star Weekend in Washington D.C.; the festivities started yesterday and will conclude this Sunday. At the event, gamers will be able to sample the upcoming title at the NBA Jam Session, and at the All-Star Comedy Celebration and Block Party, held at Planet Hollywood. Furthermore, PlayStation 2 kiosks will be available in the NBA player hospitality suites in the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

General admission tickets for the annual event are $25 and up. Filthy rich celebrities who wish to flaunt their wealth, however, can purchase VIP tickets for $125. The event's profits will serve as contributions to the National Kidney Foundation of the National Capital Area.
