EA To Propose Ubisoft Buyout Too?
Credit goes to GameCyte for uncovering this little marvel. It looks like proposing a buyout to Take-Two wasn't enough for Electronic Arts, as we have reason to believe that EA is also interested in buying out Ubisoft. What we reason do we have? Remember that website EA put up (EATake2.com) detailing why it is in Take-Two's best interests to sell? Well, they've also registered a website for Ubisoft, called EAUbisoft.com.  GameCyte also noticed that the same company that registered the EATake2 site was also the one to register EAUbisoft, as well - and they were both created on the same day. Check out the WHOIS information, which pertains to both domains, below:
  ICANN Registrar: GODADDY.COM, INC.

Now, it's interesting to note that EA does hold a 19.9% stake in Ubisoft stock, which is a considerable chunk, and so them moving in on the French publisher seems to make quite a bit of sense. We believe much of this buyout fervor stems back to Activision and Vivendi merging last year to form Activision-Blizzard. With their merger, Activision-Blizzard unseated EA as the largest publisher of games. And, as you can imagine, no giant wishes to go unnoticed.
