PS2 News: UK Prefers Gaming Over Sex

UK Prefers Gaming Over Sex

We apologize to our British friends for furthering a stereotype that we're positive isn't true...at least, we're relatively certain it's not true. How can it be?

Anyway, according to The Daily Mirror (via MCVUK), a recent poll was conducted to determine the favorite "pastimes" of British citizens. Now, we can certainly agree with #1 (sleeping), and there are a few others on the list that we Americans indulge in, too, but something seems slightly amiss. According to the results, sex barely broke into the top 10, with things like Net surfing, work and computer games coming in way above it. This means Brits would rather play games than have sex? Hey, we admire your dedication to the industry, guys - really, we do - but...really? And you'd also rather work than do some sweatin' between the sheets? That can't possibly be right!

However, in looking closely at the article in question at MCVUK, perhaps the title is misleading. It says, "Gaming More Popular Than Sex," but it seems the poll may have been asking how much time British citizens spend with each of the basic facets of life. That would make a heck of a lot more sense, but if that's the case, that means they all sleep, talk and watch TV more than work, which again, doesn't really sound accurate. We would like to know how the question in this survey was phrased, but for now, we find it pretty darn comical. Sorry, friends-across-the-pond. :)

Ha ha, The Daily Mirror. They once printed the results of a survey that showed that most Brits wanted the monarchy gone and in the same paper printed another separate one showing that Brits were pro-monarchy.
That rag is always good for a laugh.
Never trust a tabloid. lol
