Atlus Reveals Eternal Poison For US
Square-Enix may be looking to expand beyond the Sony platforms, but other dedicated veteran RPG companies are doing no such thing. Studios like NIS America and Atlus continue to support the PS2 with each new project - NIS's Ar Tonelico 2 is headed our way this December - and now, Atlus has yet another.
According to 411Mania, Atlus has officially revealed Eternal Poison for a North American release on the PS2. Each copy will feature a special soundtrack CD, and we're hoping we see it hit U.S. shores before the end of the year. From the early screenshots we've seen, the game appears to be a turn-based strategy/RPG blend, as there's one pic with a classic "game board" setup. But there should also be some cut-scenes and up-close-and-personal fighting within that structure, making for a diverse and entertaining experience. Well, that's what we assume simply by examining the very early screens; we have no official details on the title just yet. However, if you're one of the many RPG fans who have been disappointed in the lack of role-playing games on the PS3, you can always turn to the PS2.
As soon as more info comes to light concerning Eternal Poison, we'll be sure to let you know about it. NIS and Atlus...man, those guys know how to take care of their loyal fans, don't they?
