Newest Spyro Game Releases
Once debuting as a PlayStation mascot and as a Sony published series, Spyro the Dragon has come a long way since the 32-bit days. It's been 10 years since the first Spyro game, and today marks the release of yet another entry into the franchise. This entry in particular ends the Legend of Spyro trilogy, but fear not, you can rest assured that another series of games will follow this trilogy soon enough.
“This year is Spyro’s 10th anniversary and players are definitely going to see noticeable advances in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon on the next-gen machines,” said David Pokress, vice president, global brand management, Activision Publishing, Inc. “This latest chapter in the Spyro franchise introduces fun new faces and entertaining game elements like flying at any time and drop-in/drop-out co-op, with both Spyro and Cynder.”
For the trilogy's conclusion, the studios went all out by casting an even bigger Hollywood cast which still features Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman, on top of Wayne Brady, Christina Ricci, Mark Hamill, and Blair Underwood. We're looking forward to playing Spyro and should have our own copies of the game shortly, so check back with us for a full review soon.
The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is now available in stores nationwide for the PS3, X360, PS2, Wii, and Nintendo DS.
