Sony plans a 40 Gig hard drive for PS2.

  The Friday edition of the Nikkei Industrial Daily reported that Sony is planning on releasing their massive PS2 Hard Drive for Japan in July. Not only will this disk drive allow you to download files off the internet, but it will let you to download a whopping 40 GBs worth of info. Take that 8 Gig XBox hard drive! It will also feature 100Mbps interface that will create smoother video streams when connected to a broadband enabled network. Sony has not commented on any price for the PS2 HDD, but their are plans to fully reveal all of the unknown info about the HDD at E3 2001.
