Namco reveals a dozen new games in development.

Namco let the world know that they are indeed developing sequels to games such as Ridge Racer 5, Tekken 3, Soul Calibur and Moto GP. Namco Hometek says that they will be releasing 12 games on the System 246 arcade PS2 based hardware and Playstation 2. These 12 games look beyond promising, not only is Tekken 4 in development, but so is Soul Calibur 2! Among the other games include, a sequel to Moto GP, Ace Combat 4 and Ridge Racer V. The following is a list of all of the announced titles that will arrive on the PS2.

Tekken 4
Soul Calibur 2
Ace Combat 4
Tennis Game
Baseball Game
Soccer Game
Vampire Night (Arcade & PS2)
Tales of X (co-develop by Namco and Telenet Japan)
Mr. Driller New Work
New Ridge Racer
New Moto GP
RPG from subsidiary Monolith Software

This spells great news for US PS2 gamers, but chances are that the sports games may not see the light of day in the US, although seeing as how popular Virtua Tennis was (oh man, what an amazing videogame!), the tennis title may appear. I personally can't wait to play Tekken 4, Soul Calibur 2, Ridge Racer VI, and Ace Combat 4, but I've been hearing a lot of things about Vampire Night.
