Crazy Taxi ships in May for PS2.

"Alright, it's party time, let's have some fun!" Today we here at PSX Extreme were notified of a release date change for Crazy Taxi on PS2. Originally planned for a late April release, Crazy Taxi has been pushed back ever so slightly to a mid-May release date which would be between the 10th and 20th.

The PS2 version of Crazy Taxi will be published by Acclaim and developed by Hitmaker. As everyone should know by now, this is all part of Sega's entry into the 3rd party world. I've seen some footage of the PS2 version, and to be quite honest the differences are pretty much un-noticeable. I'd say that the same polygon numbers account for each version, and that you should pretty much expect a direct-port in all areas. But never the less, Crazy Taxi remains as my favorite Dreamcast game, and I can't wait to play it on my PS2, it's like a dream come true.

With Bad Religion and The Offspring providing the sadly short but good soundtrack, a training mode and two different modes of addictive as hell gameplay, Crazy Taxi will certainly be a keeper.
