Square, Enix and Namco get together.
An unexpected conjoinment between three of Sony's best publishers/developers has occurred. SquareSoft, Enix and Namco Hometek have joined forces. Each company will receive a stake of 5% of the other, that is part of a $363 million dollar deal (44.2 billion yen). This deal was created in order to decrease development costs, by having the companies invest into each others' projects. Nothing more was said about this, although Keiji Honda (Enix), Hisashi Suzuki (Square), and Shirou Takagi (Namco) attended the press conference event in Japan.
