Tekken 4 Arcade set to be released in Japan.
As we are continually shown new games being released this summer, a pleasant surprise is revealed as Tekken 4 Arcade is set to be released in Japan on July 20th, according to website Challenger HP. Now, with Virtua Fighter 4 having a release date of August 8th stated by the same website, it appears that we may have a very interesting choice at hand. It is also detailed that Tekken 4 Arcade will present a visual similarity to Tekken Tag Tournament. As we well remember, TTT was one of the PS2ís original launch games, and distinguished itself as one of the premier games out at the time. However, while giving us great detail in characters and backgrounds, it was apparent that the action did not coincide with the images behind us. This problem, however, is set to be erased with numerous improvements and additions.
Along with additions to detail in characters and their surroundings, Tekken 4 Arcade has been offered a new element, the presence of walls. These walls will serve the purpose of adding to strategy in both the offensive and defensive mentality of a player. Also, to make things interesting, these walls may take the appearance of surroundings in the background. While before such things as trees may have only been thought to add to the background, they now can be used to aid you in your fighting style, as you are allowed to hide behind them and utilize their presence while attacking your opponent. Once again, Namco has added an element that will make for an excellent addition to this fighting series.
Although these releases are only the dates Challenger HP expects to get the games, it is a great feeling to know Tekken 4 Arcade is almost ready to be delivered to the Japanese public. The only question now is, when do we get a piece of the action?!
