GT3 hits million mark in Japan.

  Sony has reported that its gem racing simulation, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, has overcome the million-unit mark last week in Japan, showing the amazing draw this title has towards a console. Gran Turismo is already known as one of the most popular racing series of all time, if not the most popular. Japanese sources have reported that more than 45, 835 units were sold during the week from June 11th to the 17th, and has now been reported to have sold over 1,024,929 units to date in Japan.

   GT3 will be shipped to American stores July 10, 2001, giving gamers less than 2 weeks to set themselves for what is believed to be a continuing trend. Only time will tell what effect GT3 has on American households, but my guess is that we had better strap up for an intense buying frenzy.

   {Solid's Note: Wow guys, can you believe that 1 out of every 3 PS2 owners in Japan have a copy of GT3? That's an amazing feat huh?}
