TOCA Evolves into Pro Race Driver
The series that is planned for a 2002 PS2 and console release has reported a change in the style and look of the game. Going from a dull gray color scheme and lack of gameplay, Pro Race Driver has reported a very bright, primary colored title, with girls in hot pants, an in-depth story line and relatable characters. Hopefully the game can strive in the new direction it is taking.
According to producer Studio Head and series producer Gavin Raeburn, "It's no longer sufficient or exciting to deliver a new edition of a best-selling franchise that just recreates previous editions on a new format. "We have got to move on from the expectation that a sequel can be justified by simply adding more cars and tracks. With Pro Race Driver we want to move the whole racing genre forward by delivering a very personal experience that the gamer can passionately connect with."
We were also given six screenshots of the game as well. The cars you see displayed a real-time models, too bad the women aren't. Head over to the screenshots section for more.
