Rogue Spear licensed for soldier training

It has been announced today by Ubi Soft Entertainment that it will be licensing the game engine featured in the tactical action game Rogue Spear to the US Department of Defense. Soldiers will now be trained based on the engine developed from Tom Clancy’s work. Although not specific for weapon training, the US government has signed a contract with LB&B Associates to create a training simulation to help develop soldier’s decision-making skills.

"We need to train the elements of the small unit on how to prepare for a mission, how to work as a team during mission execution, and how to conduct after action debriefs, and this engine will let us do that and more," said Michael S. Bradshaw, systems division manager of LB&B.
