Logitech upgrades the GT Force

It has recently been announced that Logitech will be releasing a new Force Feedback style wheel, titled the Logitech Driving Force for the PS2. Retailing for $99.95, the Driving Force expects to attract even more gamers with the added features it will provide.

"The predecessor to our new Driving Force wheel, the Limited-Edition GT Force for Gran Turismo 3 A-spec, was extremely well-received and sold out very quickly," said Ted Hoff, vice president and general manager of Logitech's Interactive Entertainment Division. "The Logitech Driving Force has the same impressive Logitech quality, realistic force feedback effects, convenient features and game support as GT Force, and also includes new features and functionality based on important user-feedback."

Also included as a standard will be the very unique lap attachment will provide a place for the wheel for those who don’t have a sturdy table. The wheel will rest securely between players’ knees while still offering the option of table mounting.

The following games support the Driving Force: Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 3 A-spec, Infogrames Entertainment's NASCAR Heat 2002, Motor Mayhem, Test Drive and Test Drive Off-Road: Wide Open, with additional titles in the making.
