PS2 hits 17 million-mark
It has been announced that, as of the end of August, Sony has shipped 17,910,000 units of Playstation 2 hardware. With 6,540,000 units arriving in Japan, 7,230,000 units in North America, and 4,140,000 in Europe, the PS2 is doing considerably well comparing to its earlier mark of 10,610,000 worldwide at the end of March. As the price hopefully continues to drop on the PS2, expect an even higher increase, as blockbuster games are also being shipped left and right. We at PSX Extreme will keep you informed of the latest figures.
