Mad Catz presents wireless PS2 controller

Mad Catz announced today the shipment of their new 900 MHz Wireless Dual Force 2 Controller. The controller enables RF (radio frequency) instead of infrared technology, meaning you can now move the controller any which way you want without having to direct it in a specific path, while also allowing people to walk in front of you. Also, the controller now implements touch-sensitive buttons and Dual Shock capabilities, with the ability to recharge the controller, as a recharging cradle has been added allowing for 5 hours of play, deleting the use of batteries.

"In keeping with our mission to create the industry's most innovative controllers, the Wireless Dual Force 2 controller enables players to maximize play time without being tied down by short cables," said Darren Richardson, president and COO of Mad Catz, Inc. "The controller's sleek design and no line of sight issues make for consistent, continuous play even at a considerable distance from the console and television."

The controller retails for $59.99 and is now in stores.
