Internet adapter and network delayed

Reports have been made that SCEA’s Network Adaptor will be delayed until spring 2002. As for THPS3, it will still be online compatible, however, you will now need to use a 3rd party USB adapter designed for PC’s. Although this shouldn’t present a severe problem, it will be nice to have SCEA’s official network adapter when it is released simply as it will provide a more specific intention.

Also described in this report is that Sony’s Online Network will not be ready for 2001. Sony felt that they needed more time for this feature, but still have major plans concerning it.

The Activision executive stated, "Sony isn't quite ready with its online infrastructure yet, but that should come early next year, and when it does, we'll be fully prepared for it. Early next year Tony Hawk will be on the forefront of the console online future."

He added, "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 will be a pioneer in the console online gaming world. We showed that at E3 on the Xbox and the PS2, where we had online prototypes up and running. When Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is released [October 30, 2001] it will be fully online playable
