Activision announced today that Supercar Street Challenge for the PS2 is ready to be shipped to retail stores nationwide. The game features 23 fantasy courses including locations in London, Paris, Monaco, Los Angeles, Munich, Turin, and Rome. Also presented in SSC are 9 incredible vehicles to master the world in and they are as follows: Lotus M220, Callaway C12, Saleen S7, Fioravanti F100, Pagani Zonda C12s, Vision CTEK K/2, Bertone Pixster, Rinspeed E-Go Rocket and the Pontiac Concept GTO.

“Supercar Street Challenge sets a new standard for arcade-style racing games with the innovative Steve Saleen Styling Studio that, for the fist time ever, allows players to design and race their own dream machines,” states Larry Goldberg, executive vice president of Activision Studios. “Featuring the fastest supercars from the world’s top car design houses as well as an incredible level of detail within the tracks, Supercar Street Challenge makes a great stocking stuffer for race fans and gamers alike.”

Our own SolidSnake has also reviewed the game, so please check out his look into Activision’s first attempt at a PS2 racer.
