Soldier of Fortune ships

Majesco Inc. announced today the release of Soldier of Fortune, as it has shipped to retail stores nationwide for the PS2. This first-person shooter is based on Activision’s award-winning PC game and has added exclusive features that will premiere on Sony’s next-generation console. In Soldier of Fortune, players will take the role of John Mullins, as it is his task to locate and secure stolen nuclear warheads. The game features single and multi-player missions, while premiering a 28-stage infiltration mission and new Death Match maps for up to four players to compete simultaneously.

“We’re thrilled to deliver Soldier of Fortune, one of the premier action gaming franchises, as one of our first offerings for the PlayStation 2," said David Elmekies, Director of Game Development for Pipedream Interactive. “Maximizing the system’s impressive capabilities, Soldier of Fortune incorporates the acclaimed attributes of the PC version and has been thoroughly revamped with updated tools, maps and features that appeal to the console gamer."
