Infogrames and Davilax Software enter agreement

Infogrames announced today that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Davilax Software. The agreement allows Infogrames distribution rights to upcoming titles of Davilax software in North America. U.S. Racer will be Davilax’s first title released under Infogrames and will be shipped January 2002 for the PC.

“We’re obviously very excited about the opportunities within this industry in the coming years. We feel strongly that the philosophies which shape our product, corporate and retail strategies are well suited to the increased consumer reach and technical capabilities of today’s gaming platforms,” stated Roger Avis, CEO of Davilex BV. “The strength of Infogrames’ sales and distribution organization makes them the ideal partner for us in North America.”

“Davilex is a natural fit with our affiliate slate,” commented Wim Stocks, Senior Vice President, Sales and Distribution, Infogrames, Inc. “Their emphasis on titles for the mass market complements our own, so we’ll be able to successfully leverage the mass merchant relationships within our distribution network to mutual benefit.”
