Frequency released for PS2

Sony Computer Entertainment America announced today the release of Frequency for the Playstation 2. Developed by Harmonix Music Systems, Frequency offers an interactive form of mixing music from renowned artists and assorted rhythms. The environment also adds a level of enjoyment, as it presents gamers with a 3D background and video context. One of the game’s best features is the fact that it is enjoyable for both the casual and hardcore gamers, as it blends a unique level of gaming with addictive gameplay.

"Frequency provides PlayStation 2 fans with the opportunity to understand music mixing and experience it first-hand," said Paul Oakenfold, world-renowned DJ. "Through its user-friendly gameplay, gamers can take advantage of their video game skills and use them to lay down music by some of the top music acts in the world."

"Frequency is poised to push the music experience to a whole new level for both the musician and gamer," said Ami Blaire, director, product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. "Both gamers and music fans will appreciate this simple, yet addictive gameplay and the wide variety of music found in Frequency. With this innovative game, we continue to expand the breadth of unique content available for PlayStation 2.”
