The Legend of Alon Dar goes gold

Ubi Soft Entertainment announced today that The Legend of Alon Dar has gone gold for the Playstation 2. With manufacturing ready to commence, the game is scheduled to ship to retailers December 5, 2001.

The Legend of Alon Dar is a traditional RPG featuring Jarik, a young warrior on a mission to discover the mysteries of his past, and allows for limitless combat and a unique magical skill system. Jarik must overcome an unearthly evil and discover the power of The Legend of Alon Dar.

In the world of Chandar, numerous races of beings dwell on the world that has been devastated by powerful magical forces. The floating continents of Chandar are populated by the Orin, a human race inhabiting the foothills; the Kemarrans, women warriors who roam the Kemarran Highlands; the Dagani, a race of humanoid amphibians claiming the swampy depths; and the Sarojin, a mystical breed of lizard people. The Legend of Alon Dar is stated to feature beautiful environments and a combat system that is like no other. Expect more coverage on the game as it approaches its release date.
