Smash Court Pro Tournament announced

Namco has recently announced that it will release Smash Court Pro Tournament for the Playstation 2. The game will be a more realistic installment to the companyís tennis franchise, as it will move away from the previously more comic visuals. Players can choose from eight different professional players in the game, including Pete Sampras, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Andre Agassi, Patrick Rafter, Martina Hingis, Lindsay Davenport, Monica Seles, and Anna Kournikova. Introduced as an arcade game last September, Smash Court Pro Tournament will feature an arcade mode with singles and doubles matches available for up to four players. Several other modes will be announced at a later date.

Smash Court Pro Tournament for the PlayStation 2 is set for a Japanese release on February 7, 2002. However, there has been no official announcement on when the game will hit North America or Europe.
