PS2 continues to outsell GC and Xbox
Credit Suisse First Boston has released its latest report concerning console and software sales for the week of November 25 through December 1. Sales for the Nintendo GameCube do not include sales through Wal-Mart stores, and therefore fall short of Nintendo's claims of 600,000 units in its first two weeks of availability. The Xbox has sold 738,000 units to date, as it continues to see average success after launch. The console sales for the week of November 25 are as follows:
Sony Playstation 2: 241,000 units
Microsoft Xbox: 182,000 units
Nintendo GameCube: 65,000 units
What's this? The PS2 is still outselling both next-generation consoles? That's right, people; Sony is continuing to post strong numbers for console and software sales. It's really too bad when the PS2 is almost outselling the GC and Xbox combined! Remember these numbers, because this trend will continue through the holidays. For all of you that are still debating what console may win the console war, I think your question has been answered. The PS2, once again, reigns supreme.
