New information on Iron Aces II: Birds of Prey
Xicat Interactive has officially announced that it will be releasing Iron Aces II: Birds of Prey for the PS2 in North America. Developed by Kodokawa Shoten, the game is set in the World War II era and features more than 35 airplanes from various time periods. We got our first glimpse of the game at this year's ECTS and were shown the variety of game modes Iron Aces II offered. There are over 35 missions and they include air-to-air combat and air-to-ground combat. Also, an exciting mode is used in free battle, where players get to dogfight with any plane of their choice.
"We are extremely excited about launching Iron Aces II: Birds of Prey on to the PS2 format," said Steve Brown, director of European sales at Xicat Interactive. "This being our first title to launch on the PS2, we really feel it fills a hole in the market for this genre of product. We had tremendous success with our first Iron Aces title launched on the DC earlier this year and have pushed the title on to ensure that we utilize all the benefits of the PS2 platform."
