Guilty Gear XX announced

Sammy has officially announced the third installment in their 2D fighting game series, Guilty Gear XX. The game will now have a five-button system to play from, opposed to its previous four-button system seen in earlier titles. However, the purpose of the fifth button has not been revealed, but we can all hope it does something spectacular, like ordering food from the arcade restaurant. Anyway, two new characters have also been added, Slayer and Bridget, and will join the list of playable characters. The specifics of all characters have not yet been given, and we are still unsure if all the characters will be returning.

The game is around 30 percent complete and maybe when it is finished we can look forward to seven buttons. At any rate, Guilty Gear XX is set for an arcade release in Japan this spring. There has been no word on a console version at this time, but with the numerous buttons enlisted to controllers of next-generation consoles, we can only hope.
