Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec Preview
At the ECTS game show in Europe Gran Turismo's producer Kazunori Yamauchi was there and had announced many of the new features that GT2000 will include. He first sat in a chair with a steering wheel and pedals complete with force feedback. Alright let's skip all of that and shoot down to the new list of features.
**The has no more flickering issues, and it has been anti-aliased. It isn't known if the aliasing is full screen or not but as long as it is I'm happy.
**GT2000 only has 150 cars but each car is made up of a little over 5000 polygons. Compare that to GT2's 300 poly cars. Each car in GT2000 took two weeks to finish, and GT2 cars took only one day. If you guys want more cars then you would have to wait another year or two so take what you have. Almost all the manufacturers have made it back in GT2000, so don't worry.
**With the PS2's 46 sound channel developers are now able to make more use of an environment's background sounds. In GT2000 you can hear every car around you, unlike the one car you can hear in GT2.
**Every GT2000 car has been individually recorded for the best performance and non of the sounds in GT2 were used over.
**Two new tracks were added, Monte Carlo City Track and an unknown Japanese course. There are 15 tracks in total.
**There will be a Rally Mode, said to be much deeper than GT2's.

**Physics tweaked even more and the tuning has been improved for more depthness.
**Crashing affects car performance.
These changes sound incredible and I really can't wait for GT2000 already. But I may have to wait until December 2000 or January 2001, yes GT2000 is NOT a launch title. The fact is also that GT2001 is reportedly in the works on paper, and it may very well support Network play. Now what do you say guys, what's the magic word? That's right "thank you SolidSnake".
