With the recent screenshot update of The Bouncer, I will also complement the preview by updating it from I have seen so far. The visuals are clearly anti-aliased, the character detail is absolutely phenomenal. Every character looks far better than I have seen in any videogame yet, and yes that is including Metal Gear Solid 2, don't be so shocked. Right now MGS2 isn't anti-alised and the screens really prove it, but when you look at The Bouncer, the graphics there are magnificent complete with partial anti-aliasing (not full screen). The new screenshots show that The Bouncer is a four-player game, that displays around 10 bodies on one screen, and I'm hoping that Square does everything right in order to keep the frame rate super crisp at 60. The environments are extremely detailed and complete with some of the nicest looking textures that you will ever see in your gaming life. The visuals are also complete with motion-blurring for a more dramatic experience. That being said, I can safely say that The Bouncer is not just any beat 'em up game, it features a deep story and some great voice acting.

I got a chance to see some videos of The Bouncer in action, with English voices. Now the translation is far from complete, there is still some Japanese dialogue, but that will be all changed by the time the game is released in January. The voice acting makes this game feel more like an animated movie rather than a videogame, it's that good! The four main characters in The Bouncer are Sion (pronounced Sean), Volt, Kou (Ku) and Echidna who seems to be an enemy rather than a playable character, although looks like a big role in the game. Echidna also has been reported in her bio that she had a prior relationship with Volt. Head over to the screenshot index of the game and find the concept art, it is really nice and explains many things about the game. All fighters have statistics such as Life, Power, and Defense, I'm guessing that you can upgrade them somehow by using Bouncer Points that you are rewarded with. When completing a stage, you are given a rank, the higher your rank the more Bouncer points you are rewarded. Fighters also have skills to pull off, the moves can be viewed at the character selection screen, and it looks like a demonstration of the move is displayed to the left of the move list. The Bouncer will be the one game that will pose the biggest challenge to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, everything about the game is astounding, I'm praying that Square doesn't screw the game up in any way, and makes it a lengthy game as well. Remember, The Bouncer should be available possibly at the very end of December or early January.
