Scheduled release date:

October 26th, 2000

First of all, forgive me for the lack of content on this preview, but this is basically the final update for Midnight Club: Street Racing before it hits shelves in just thirteen short days. Over the Summer, Angel Studios must have realized the potential that Midnight Club: Street Racing has and went to work on it drastically making it look so much better than it was in the early screenshots. The special effects such as lighting effects are without a doubt the best of any current launch game. The car beam lights look so realistic almost as if you were watching a movie clip or something like that. The car models are super sleek, the over exaggerated chroming seems to have been toned down a notch, to not completely distract the gamer from the gameplay. The buildings are also something that I'm impressed with and that goes for the rest of the scenario as well.

The gameplay can be described as a mix of Driver, San Fransisco Rush and Midtown Madness (the predecessor to Midnight Club). I am eagerly anticipating the release of the game, especially because both Smuggler's Run and Midnight Club are integrated with one another's cars. The release of course is launch date, October 26th and gamers should consider checking out the game, especially Driver and Rush fans.
