Most of the time when you hear about someone getting shot nine times it's in a videogame, not real life. 50 Cent is doing things a little differently - getting shot nine times in real life, and then doing it all over again in videogame form. That's right, not content to just get shot at in the real world, 50 Cent has decided to try his hand at getting shot in a videogame. 50 Cent: Bulletproof is currently due out November 15th, and will certainly garner its fair share of attention from critics of violence in games.

Inspired by the life of rapper 50 Cent, 50 Cent: Bulletproof tells the story of the rapper's (fictional) pursuit of vengeance on the streets of New York. His quest leads him down into the seedy drug underworld, where he discovers an international conspiracy with "devastating implications." The script has been written by Sopranos executive producer Terry Winter, an Emmy-Award winner, who also wrote the story for 50 Cent's upcoming biopic Get Rich or Die Tryin'.

Bulletproof is a third-person shooter that promises to be quite violent. Various ducks, rolls, jumps, and dives will be at your disposal, as will a large number of weapons. The city streets promises to be more than eye candy, as 50 Cent will be able to interact with pawnbrokers, weapon dealers, informants, shady doctors and music bootleggers. He also will enlist the help of G-Unit (Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and Tony Yayo) on various mission throughout the game.

One of the game's strengths is its soundtrack, which of course features music by 50 Cent and G Unit. In addition to previously released tracks, 50 has recorded several original songs just for the game, and on top of that has recorded several hours of dialog. As an added bonus, the game will have an area called "The Lab" where you can remix songs to create all-new tracks, and you can chill in 50's crib and watch videos if shooting people gets tiring.

Other than the trailer and some screenshots, VU Games hasn't revealed much about Bulletproof. Rest assured, in the upcoming months there will be plenty of coverage of one of the holiday season's most anticipated and controversial games.
