Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch Officially Confirmed
It's the press release we've wanted to see ever since hearing the announcement.
Today, Namco Bandai Games America has announced that Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will indeed launch in North America in 2012, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
Developed by Level-5 (Dragon Quest, Professor Layton), this "unique fantasy RPG" has received plenty of attention in recent months. The team collaborated with legendary studio Ghibli for the character design and animations, and the music comes from Joe Hisaishi, composer of scores found in over 100 films. Said president and CEO of Level-5, Akihiro Hino:
"We are very honored to be working with the talented Studio Ghibli and Hisaishi-san on this game. It is very exciting for us to bring the best of Japanese anime and video game cultures together, and also to bring it to players in Europe and America. We hope you will enjoy it."
We'll follow the adventure of a young boy, Oliver, who sets out to become a master magician and resurrect his dead mother, who is now in the parallel world of Ni no Kuni. He'll meet all sorts of interesting characters, and he'll need their help if he wishes to take down the evil White Witch. Unfortunately, we don't have an exact release date, but this is good enough for now.

I will definitely support L5. They're really trying when it comes to JRPG's on the PS3 as well as localizing and thank the gods for that!

It'll come with the spell book in digital form or you can purchase it separately and obtain a unique code for some DLC that gives you controle of a mini red Dragon to take care of and use in battles!
Have you seen the new trailer!? Embed it! It's quite possibly the best RPG trailer i have seen this gen. Did you catch a glimpse at all them mini games, all them variations of gameplay? What about that monster manager?! Man, i am too excited!!!
Studio Ghibli did the story to this too so have hankies at the ready!

I've never done well with true RPG's, but damn, even I can see why all you guys(and/or gals) are excited for this game.
It will be mine someday, at least for collection purposes....and who knows after sampling it, there's always hope for me yet & maybe it can become the 1st real RPG I can get into.
