Ultimate Battlefield 3 Simulator: Are You Ready For War?
When we got an e-mail with "so you think BF3 is realistic?" in the subject line, we figured it was just another Modern Warfare 3 promoter.
But instead, we were directed to YouTube, where we saw something that is bound to incite plenty of discussion amongst gamers and non-gamers alike.
It's the Ultimate Battlefield 3 simulator, built by Channel 5's The Gadget Show. It features an omni-directional treadmill that actually requires you to move (not sure about actual running), a wireless gun system, a grand total of five high-definition projectors within a massive dome, and ridiculous surround sound.
Even more insane is the fact that this piece of virtual reality craziness can actually be purchased in the UK. They'll tell you how much it'll cost on October 24 at 8 p.m. on Channel 5, when the Ultimate Battlefield 3 Simulator debuts on the show. How much would you be willing to pay for it?

But either or, this thing should be for arcades or fairs or something. I dont see this as something to play in your home every night. But if they had a exhibt for the military or something along those lines, I can see this thing having a niche.

I would like to see something using that "roller floor" , sony's new 3d head gear, and something like the move to track your "weapon" of choice. This set up would fit in my gameroom, but with all the things this thing claims to have I'd need a warehouse to play any game.
