Gamers Encounter Arkham City DLC Code Problems
Batman: Arkham CityWhen you buy Batman: Arkham City - either the standard or Collector's Edition - you get at least one code for DLC. ...ideally.
If you check the Arkham City forums, you will find more than a few complaints concerning the included codes. Some say the codes they have don't work, others say the box where the DLC code is supposed to be is blank, and still others say they actually have multiple codes for the same piece of content.
Yeah, it's a little bit of an issue. Apparently, there are problems with all available DLC, including the Joker Challenge Map and the Robin and Catwoman codes. In our estimation, the Catwoman code is most important, as it definitely adds something to the story and gameplay. Publisher Warner Bros. is aware of the issues and has asked fans to keep an eye on Warner's Twitter page for updates. One encouraging update is as follows:
"We are aware that some people did not receive the Catwoman code in their game.You will get to play as the sexy thief,stay tuned for update."

If they are trying to pressure used game markets to give back to the industry, and they should find a way (although I wish there was an alternative to codes), then they need to cross their t's and dot their i's a little better.

Speaking of customer service I went to Kmart to buy Batman AC and arrived before the store opened. The store opened and I went inside only to find they didn't have the game. They told me it wouldn't be available until their next truck on Friday!!! I got home, totally bummed out and complained at Kmart Gamer online. Instantly the moderator reached out and gave me an email address to email my unfortunate experience to. I told him what stores didn't have Batman AC on release day. He checked their stock online and found they did have the games, they just didn't put the games out on the shelves the night before. He called the store and had them fix the problem. Kmart gave me a $10 gift card for my troubles. I received the email that Batman AC was now available. I drove over and picked up my copy! Very impressed with Kmart Gamer for their active customer service!! I will be shopping at Kmart from now on.

No issues with my codes, but I did get an extra catwoman that I traded for the Sinestro and batman the dark knight returns skins...

I'm all for new tech, but damned, I'm hating how this digital gaming era has become almost all about being manipulated.
