PS3 New Owner's Kit: Controller, HDMI, USB Cables
They've dropped the price of the system, the holiday season is just around the corner, and it's time to give new PlayStation 3 owners a great option.
The box you see here is the New Owner's Kit, which offers happy new PS3 owners a package full of must-haves at an agreeable price.
It includes the always necessary DualShock 3 wireless controller, an HDMI cable, and USB cables. USB cables are essential for charging up a controller (ideally, while you're playing with another) and the HDMI cable is another critical piece of the puzzle. We still find it annoying that Sony doesn't include one of these with the system, as it's a true high-definition machine that absolutely requires an HDMI cable to operate at optimum capacity.
Anyway, the PS3 New Owner's Kit will retail for $69.99, and Sony says this offers "over $24 in savings" (a DS3 controller costs $54.99 on its own). If you like, you can pre-order the package now; it should be on store shelves on October 25.

And they're less than $5 for color-coded ones too
(all my Ethernet & HDMI cable are from there & all color-coded so it's easy to trace down any console problems leading up to or coming out of my 5-into-1 HDMI switchbox.

For 6 years people have been screaming for the inclusion of an HDMI cable. If it were not possible to do this, they should have come up with this bundle a long long time ago...
Strange indeed... but probably over priced!
