Ace Combat DLC: New Aircraft, Fresh Aircraft Colors

If you're having a high-flying blast with Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, you'll want to spruce up your experience.

Namco Bandai Games America has announced new downloadable content for the game; the DLC will be available to download on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade on October 25.

The content includes: the ASF-X Shinden II, a "fictional state-of-the-art support fighter" that offers stable flight performance at any speed. There are also a couple new colors, one each for the F-14D Super Tomcat (Halloween Pumpkin), and the F/A-18F Super Hornet (Red Devils). The more options we have for our in-flight battles, the better off we are.

We certainly hope Project Aces will deliver more aircraft to experiment with, although there are already plenty of options in the game. Don't forget that we get to fly helicopters in Assault Horizon, too. We haven't seen a great flight game in a while and although this one isn't perfect, it's still tons of fun.

I am loving this game. Sure, the DFM isn't exactly my favorite thing, but it's still tons of fun.

It is sure great to have an Ace game on my Playstation once again!
