Insomniac Trademarks Space Beasts, Galaxy Beasts
Insomniac's new multiplatform project, set to be delivered by EA, is the recently revealed Overstrike. But what else might they be working on?
Well, we're not really sure right now, but as found by Siliconera, the talented developer (responsible for the likes of Resistance and Ratchet & Clank) might be cranking on a new project that involves...well, space things.
Insomniac has filed trademarks for "Space Beasts" and "Galaxy Beasts" in the US; both trademarks are for "video game software and online video games." Now, we should probably just assume that both names are for the same work-in-progress, but is it another multiplatform title? Or is the team making another exclusive game for Sony? And who else is thinking this might have something to do with the PlayStation Vita?
Insomniac is definitely one developer that should deliver a top-tier Vita game when the unit launches in February. And unfortunately, given the disappointing Resistance 3 sales, it seems unlikely that Resistance 4 will ever happen, so...

i feel so bad for insomniac, they make fantastic games but never get the recognition and success they deserve!
while others spew out the same sh*t year in, year out, and get lauded to the top of the crystal staircase and sleep on piles of cashola!
