Rumor: Big New PS3 Game To Be Revealed Today

Yeah, we're not the biggest fans of announcements for announcements; i.e., "we have something to tell you but we can't tell you yet."

Typically, we just wait to see the announcement because more often than not, it isn't half as exciting as the build-up. But when the rumor involves a new title for the PlayStation 3, we get intrigued...

It seems Paul Gale Network is ready to unveil the mystery game later today; 4 p.m. PST, to be specific. The site has tossed up three picture hints, but while they all might carry a movie theme (isn't that Bond?), we really have no ideas. Do you?

We knew about Twisted Metal for about a year and a half, and we also know about one other game that hasn't been mentioned. However, this probably isn't it; the game we're aware of is still a ways off. Whatever this is, though, we're hoping it'll be something special for the PS3 library. So, let the guessing game begin!

P.S. Everyone is assuming this is an exclusive project for the PS3, but I don't see "exclusive" anywhere in the tease; it's just the way the article is worded, I suppose.

Hmm IDK but this article makes me releaved. I was worried that sony put out all there exclusives this year and next year would be like a microsoft year.

but you know about 1 you say? and this is a different one?! I'm excited! (especially if its a new franchise)

Ben I believe you misunderstood that mans commentt. He was saying that he thought Sony released all their exclusives this year and had none for next year, therefor next year would've been similar to a Microsoft year. Although we do have plenty of exclusives. So, not Microsoft at all.

Ok I know that psxextreme knows about GoW IV game. Maybe FFVII but it is only in my fantasies. Maybe some new IP or Syphon Filter (that would be awsome).

I am hoping that it will be a brand new concept or thought. With all the movies to games. It could be from a movie idea? All I can get from the hints is a fighting, shooter with customization elements? The first a guy parts water with his hands. But these are all Halloween costumes revolving around a proposed new idea.(As they say) Will just wait and see.

we already know its ps3 exclusive i think. the question is if it's some big ps3 game or like world said some downloadable junk. i guess what one considers a big ps3 exclusive can be subjective. when i think of big ps3 exclusive i think about a triple a title. i doubt it's that. it'll be something obscure. maybe even a downloadable game.

Ben, there is now an update in the page, that confirms that is a PS3 exclusive. It also says in the main article exclusive now. Just letting everyone know also.

Reason for my statement above is this :

Then further down Ben mentioned there is another game that's not been mentioned lol. Bur he mentioned the mention. Now I'll be thinking all the time what's that game Ben knows about but can't say anything. Why did he tell us knowing he can't tell us.

It's Twisted Metal Black all over again lol, by the time it got to being announced I like meh ;)

Now you know im coming back here every day scouring for information on the new game that you know about.

Wait I do come here every day for my gaming news, even get up 30 mins earlier now to read the posts for this morning well they seem to go up about 3-4am UK time here. I like to go work with a quick PSXefix. Thankfully my new phone connects to my wi fi so I can surf then net from my bed :).

Ok guessing time its Alan Wake at last but Alan Wake 2 on multiplat so we can get it on the PS3. Like Dead Rising eventually came to the PS3.

Good question, apart from two obvious name-drops in his 'About Me' page, this seems like one of those personal websites clamoring for attention.

Creditable? Try this from his bio; "One of my original voices that became popular, was as the voice of Francis the Iguana, in Nintendo’s Super Paper Mario for Wii. The game itself didn’t have voice acting for the character, but my YouTube video sure made people wish that the game had voice acting and that I would have supplied that character, his voice."

So, this bit part voice actor who's voice work for a game consists of a You Tube video that some people may have liked. I'd call that accredited, wouldn't you? ;)

haha yeah I know, who the hell is he?!?! But imagine fighting to death with snake and nathan drake vs sweet tooth and kratos !!!! that would be awesome.

I don't know tho if the idea is a smash bros type or a street fighter type. I think the better would be a mix of the 2, or better yet, both!! (include 2 modes of gameplay in the same game!)
