Saints Row: The Third Is A Hot Item
Saints Row: The ThirdWell, it's certainly good news for THQ.
You've still got two weeks left to pre-order the anticipated Saints Row: The Third and if you do drop your deposit on Volition's latest, you'll join a lot of fellow interested gamers.
THQ president CEO Brian Farrell has confirmed that the third Saints Row entry is already the most pre-ordered title in series history. In fact, the upcoming game has four times the number of pre-orders Saints Row 2 had two weeks before its launch. So things are definitely headed in the right direction.
In terms of overall sales, THQ may be conservative in their hopes: they plan to ship over 3 million copies before the end of March 2012; Saints Row 2 released in October 2009 and sold 2.6 million units through March 2010. Based on the hype and expectations, The Third definitely has a good chance of outstripping its predecessor. To learn more, check out our recent preview. If both gta5 and sr3 were released on the same day and I HAD to choose one over the other, I mean if I really, really were forced to make a decision and pick just one of them, I would pick Saints Row the Third. Volition deserves it and I would not have peace in my soul playing gta5 knowing there is a SR waiting.
But I would get gta5 later as well.

Anyone created a character on the initiation station yet? I've made up some Goth lass with a fro, freccles, top hat, fishnets & steampunk boots. It looks ridiculous but at the same time rad.

On the topic of customisation, has anyone seen the character creation trailer for Soul Calibur V? That is as deep as customising gets. Altering sizes of all parts of the bodies, altering item & weapon sizes, changing colours of weapons & weapon effects, moving textures, scars & tattoos to any part of the body etc. It blows everything out of the water.
