Kmart Sells MW3 Early, Leads To Total eBay Insanity
This picture here proves that Kmart put Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on store shelves well before they were supposed to.
Now you went and done it.
It has led to frenzied bidding on eBay, with the possible culmination being some ardent fan willing to pay a downright silly sum of money to get the game a few days early. That's $1,725, people. The only downside is that Activision hasn't authorized the early selling of MW3 and although Kmart figured out their mistake, a whole lot of people could be playing the new CoD entry this weekend.
And you know, if you are one of the crazies who spent an exorbitant amount of money to play early, it might impact your account, or so says Microsoft in regards to the Xbox 360 version. Well, whatever. The whole thing is just absurd. This isn't a month early. This isn't even a week early. It's days early. It could be counted in hours.
...not sure what your life is like if you're paying seventeen hundred bucks for a video game when it'll be available for sixty in literally four days.

They took my first posting down and sent me an email detailing what I needed to do. You also couldn't post your pre-order unless you already had an EBAY score over 50 positive feedbacks. No new users could do it.

After a long work day, I come to this site and sometimes get a little jealous of your job! lol
By the way, when did you officially start at this site? I'd been reading articles and had subscribed to the newsletter years and years ago, but only started posting about 2 years ago. I never really paid any attention to who the writers were until I became a member of the community in the comments.

Well, I definitely sold my XBOX360 and games to help fund an engagement ring!
They say it's supposed to cost 3 months wages... Well... I was still a student when I got engaged, so 3 months wages was still nothing. lol
My dad even joked at our wedding during his speech that he knew I was serious when I sold a gaming console!

i mean seriously, dont they give a sh*t?
they should be banned from selling games!
i cant believe someone would pay 1729 bucks to be able to play a game 4 days earlier!
i mean wait 4 days and spend 60 bucks or spend 1729 and play in a few days.
well he has to get it shipped, and in my experience it takes several days for ebay items to be shipped let alone arrived!
so, by the time he receives it it will probably be 1 or less before release.
people are so impulsive!
i always said people have more money then brains, though he did not have to prove it to me!
even if your a billionaire, its just a waste!
give that 1729 to a charity or something, do something useful with it instead of wasting it on getting a game.

I camped outside an EB Games overnight to buy my pre-order for a PS3. My friend came with me for fun. He doesn't play games. But I wanted 2 PS3's. (Some dude even thought we were homeless and offered to buy us subway! lol. We declined, of course, saying we just wanted to buy a playstation.)
Anyways, we got our pre-orders in, and I posted my one pre-order on ebay to end a few days before release. Since rumors said there wouldn't be enough for the holidays, I sold my second pre-order for nearly $3 grand! That's $3000. I used the money to fund my $800 60gb phatty, a couple games and controllers, and pay for my text books for the next 2 semesters. (Plus a little extra cash for taking my girlfriend, now wife, out on a few nicer than average dates!)
Still though... for a game... when everyone KNOWS there won't be a shortage... it's a little bit silly.
