Modern Warfare 3 Trailer: Watch And Learn, N00b
It's the biggest game of the year, so it's only right that it has one of the best commercials, too. Totally logical.
A new live action trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has crazy high production values and a fair amount of comic relief. It's The Vet vs. The N00b, and we're fairly certain that NBA star Dwight Howard has a brief cameo right at the end. It's all about learning the ropes of the biggest shooter in the universe; wouldn't it be nice if the vets actually taught the newcomers?
Yes, I know it's all about making fun of someone else. I get it.
A whole lot of retailers are doing midnight launches for MW3; will you be attending one of them? We'll be delivering our review along with just about every other gaming source on earth, although I'm sure the CoD fans really don't give a flying fig about review scores. At any rate, this is a very cool commercial, don't you think?

Since I found a retailer selling it $40 AUD cheaper than RRP, I'm very tempted.
I always like COD's FPS mechanics, smooth, responsive. Felt like it was just lacking in content or variety. I'm kinda hoping MW3 will remedy that.
Black Ops was a good step in the right direction for bringing something a little new to CoD. Judging from previews though... not gonna hold my breath for MW3, many sources said it's just a glorified MW2 map pack.
That's just the multiplayer though. I'm holding out for a campaign review. Let us know if the story holds up Ben! Or Arnold.

...once the price drops to 2/3 after 18 months!!!
Since I'm only going to be playing SP mode anyway, and I've already got a 800 to 900 game backlog now, I can certainly wait Anti-vision out again,....& again,....& again.

I've had a lot of good experiences in that respect. Admittedly that's mostly from PC gaming before I got the ps3, it seems there's not the same kind of "guild/clan" thing going in the console world, but still, if you play a game enough and get some familiar faces in there, chances are good that they will share some tricks and secrets given the chance.
Why? Probably cause most people love to get cred for how good they are and how much they know. :)

Luckily I have more important things to do, so no CoD for me.
I also kind of want to go paint balling with my friends now, even though I never played paint ball before...

Oh, btw, just because this LIVE-ACTION/NOT GAMEPLAY trailer was cool doesn't mean I'm going to go out and buy the game now. And I don't understand why a huge amount of others who commented on this article are doing just that. Makes no sense IMO, but once again, whatever.

I just don't have stomach for CoD anymore. I know all shooters are really the same thing, shoot, reload, pick up gun, etc.
But CoD has turned into this perk infested, killstreak nightmare.
You don't even have to aim anymore.
There's something wrong when I'm playing a game, and some guy can toss a knife, from half the map away, it hits a pipe, bounces on the floor, touches my foot and I die.
Or jumps off a building, spins 6 times, doesn't have to aim, just hits the fire button and a hugely compensated auto-aim assist hands him the kill.
The CoD games now spoon feed players kills and make them think they're FPS juggernauts.
But they peal other shooters that don't do all the work for them, and they quit, saying the game sucks.
At this point. Call of Duty is for Battlefield and other Real Shooter drop-outs. Who can't soar with the eagles, so they go peck sh*t with the chickens.

Classic differences between a noob and a veteran, they nailed it with that ad. I enjoyed it very much.
