GTAV Rumored Details: Freedom, Scale and Story

Everyone is pining for more official Grand Theft Auto V details but until Rockstar wants to deliver, we just have to stick with rumors.

The latest batch of supposed information comes from the GTA Forums, where we find numerous details that definitely pique our interest. For instance, GTAV might boast multiple characters from the old series, along with new protagonists.

We see evidence of a "grand titanic scale," as the city and surrounding areas are so huge that they really push the capabilities of current consoles. Furthermore, DLC might expand on such areas, making the environment even bigger. Then there's talk of a "vast storyline that will keep you guessing and playing for months," and a feature that lets you "create your own world" with particular mission objectives. Here are a few extra intriguing snippets:

"Grand Theft Auto V: a never ending experience if you want it to be!"

"Testers have reported that while there's a great epic story to follow you can literally make this game your own they can't express how anxious they are to have Rockstar unleash this game."

Well, that's enough to get us excited...again. No matter what we hear concerning GTAV, we usually love it all. Now, if Rockstar would be so kind as to unleash the full set of details for this bad boy, we can all enjoy the holidays in anticipatory peace.

Hehe - the community at gtaforums are the undisputed kings of gta trailer analysis. You guys really should follow Bens link there and browse through the thread (even though it's become criminally long now), especially check out the screenshot posts with analysis.

Yeah looks like they may have something good going on again. At least my GTA-enthusiasm has returned and it only took a trailer for it to happen. :)

I never lost faith, despite a slight dip with lV.

Create your own world?! I mean....what?! LBP2 is the ultimate game to me because of features like that and as a short film man, cutscene making is double win! So im so hoping these rumours are true!!

It's important to stress that that particular rumor about creating your own world seem to be based on one guys postings who joined the forums today and he *looks* to be trying to create fake rumors.

But check out this guy, based on a frame in the video:

"as you can see, you can see a sign that writes 8 par 3.
With a A quick calculation:
8*3=24
8-3=5
the result is 24/5.
and in addition, you can find something more:
169/8 = 21.125
3 + 21.125 = 24.125
which clearly means:
24.5.12
and another thing:
the song in the background, is released on the 24/5!"

... I mean, these guys *really* tear the trailer to pieces. The thread is a good read. :D

Yeah, ive been reading the thread and my excitement quickly faded. He lost crediblity the more he posted.

I actually don't believe it at all now....but Play Create, Share....it HAS to be done! That genre needs expanding big time.

Those analysing the trailer are hilarious, but nonetheless, finding us cool things.

Indeed they do - it's amazing how much it is possible to squeeze out of a rather brief trailer. gtaforums has been doing this for years. It's tradition. :)

But Rockstar *did* say they reinvented the series now... So don't rule it completely out! There *got* to be more than what's seen in that trailer.

I'd like to see previous characters of the series make a return. I've always wondered what happened to Claude after he made his San Andreas cameo, Tommy after his Vice City takeover, or CJ after he "hit the block"..

I wasn't really excited for this at first. I'm not really hip to the gangster/crime kind of thing. But, the more and more that I hear about this title the more I want to change my mind. I can see it changing if more news like this carry on emerging. Go go team R*!

It's not actually a Prince reference, it is a bible reference. But, Prince did take it and incorporated it accordingly, much to my delight as I SODDING LOVE HIM!

3 is my lucky number too!! 1 arena, 1 outdoor 30,000 capacity field and 1 small venue of around 200 people.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, excites me more then that 2nd italic. I wouldn't be disappointed if false, but I'm hopeful. I can't wait for another trailer to see what the other GTA nuts uncover.

Oh man, I hope most of what we've been hearing lately is true.

I've put well over 130 hours in GTA4 already & still not done with it(plus I've still got the L & the D, & Gay Tony extras to play).

Sooooo, I can't even begin to imagine how long I'll wind up being lost in the world of GTA5, & if it releases in 2012, you might not hear from me in all of 2013 after getting it.

no, i meant i can see the same thing that happened with GTAIV happening here.
i got so hyped for GTAIV, so much so i actually lied to my teacher and said i had to go to a doctors appointment just so i could go home early grab GTAIV and play it.
then was massively disappointed with it.
50 bucks says the same will happen with this.

Ah, that way, hehe! Well, I really believe that this time around we will get the same feeling we got from playing VC and SA. If not, then yeah, it will be another gta4-disappointment. But that will not happen. No way. Not again?
