Guerrilla Working On Killzone 4 For PlayStation 4?
Well, if you put two and two together and cross your fingers, it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility.
A reader has informed us that the latest issue of Edge magazine has confirmed that Guerrilla Games is currently working on a "Killzone follow-up."
It seems the majority of the development staff is already cranking away on the next installment in the fantastic series, with KZ2 and KZ3 Senior Producer Steven Ter Heide acting as game director for whatever this "follow-up" is (presumably Killzone 4). Guerrilla also announced a while back that they're working on a new IP; obviously, this isn't it as the Killzone franchise is definitely involved.
There's something else to consider, too. Sources have been saying that internal Sony studios are already working on PlayStation 4 game concepts and in fact, there was the rumor that at least one studio has stopped working on the PS3 altogether so as to focus on the PS4. Therefore, if it's Guerrilla, doesn't that mean that the next KZ entry will be on Sony's new console? Dare we hope?

Honestly these developers are the cream of the crop. The games look absolutely stunning (*cough* Frostbite Engine fail *cough*) and I know KZ4 will blow away everything we know on the PS4. Only down side is the probably two year wait but it should be worth it!

It will be interesting to see what Sony does with the PS4 controller. I am predicting that the PS4 controller will emulate the PS Vita. Meaning it will have the touch pad on the back of the controller. Everything else will be what we are already so fond of. Best controller in gaming bar none.
Edit - 1 more thing, KZ3's production values looked like PS4!! What will KZ4 really look like on the PS4?! Real life?

Maybe the games you listed are under development for Ps3. But so is Kz5, UC5, MotorStorm5 & GoW5 for PS4!!!! Who knows?
But I believe that just like the launch lineup for the Vita, Sony will do the same for PS4.

I must say though, this time around I will not be purchasing a PS4 on day one. I will let it settle down for at least a year or two. It really depends though what the PS4 releases with. If it truly blows me away - which I am sure it will - to some extent anyway, then I may buy in early...

I'd really like to see a combination of new IPs and established properties on the PS4, so I think that Heavenly Sword 2 from Santa Monica would be one, another Motorstorm, because it isn't really a continuing story. A new IP from GG and Sucker Punch. Maybe a MAG follow-up from Zipper.
Oh, and the team that's finished up PS3 development. I sincerely hope that it is Sucker Punch. inFamous 2 was brilliant, but I want to see them go even further with whatever comes next, and I really hope that it is on the 4. But what about MM?

I for one am not ready for the next generation... at all. Love where everything is right now, and am not ready (nor is my wallet) for a new technological leap. I'll wait at least three or four years until I get a PS4 AFTER it comes out for that reason.

Interesting though, you still have huge titles like DUST514 coming out on PS3 hardware. It makes you wonder why now. Would it not be better to delay and go for the PS4 rather....
Anyway, it will be interesting to see nonetheless...

makes sense though, definitely wont be for ps3 because they have already said there working on a new IP for ps3.
this time hopefully they put the boss battles back in.
thats the only thing i hated about KZ3.
they added everything i wanted from 2, but took out the best part about it!
the boss battles with the tanks, ATAC, visari, heavies were freaking awesome!
thats whats spoiling allot of games for me this gen, not that there bad games, but there so different!
for once maybe we can have a sequel thats the same, just with new levels?
who said sequels have to be totally different!?

why is ninty so successful?
because every game they release manages to feel so fresh and new, but still feel old school.
look at skyward sword.
brings so much new to the series, but yet still feels like a proper zelda game.
thats whats destroying my enjoyment with allot of games this gen.
they end up being so different, look at infamous 2.
in the original, the powers were all combined so well.
in the original you could have a grenade that had a high impact radius, then shatters into smaller ones.
infamous 2 you cant do that.
you either have the high impact radius, or you have the shatter grenade with a lower impact radius.
thats what destroyed my enjoyment with that game, it feels so different to the original, and you feel so underpowered!
or even GOW3.
so different from 1 and 2.
almost every sequel this gen has been so dramaticly different to its predecessor and thats whats destroyed my enjoyment with it.
look at LP2, RE5, DMC4, GTAIV, all games so drastically different to their ps2 brethren.
but then look at PoP sands of time, a game thats almost identical to the ps2 titles.
and i really enjoyed that game.
i wonder why.
if i wanted a different game, why the ^%$# would i buy a game in the same series?
one line that REALLY irked me in IGNs review was "if you liked the combat in AC before then you will like it here. if you dident then you wont."
first off he makes it sound like a bad thing.
how is ACRs combat being the same to its predecessors bad?
2nd no sh*t sherlock if you hated the combat in ACB you would hate it here!
if you hated AC2 and brotherhood, then WTF would you be reading a ACR review?
as if people are looking in to ACR expecting to see a totally different game!
if you want a totally different game, buy a totally different game in a totally different series!
i dont see people going out and buying halo then complaining that its not mario kart!
drives me f*cking insane when reviewers mark games down for being what they should be, or marking games down for not being what they should not be!
reviewers are suppose to review games on what they have, not what they should have.
after finishing ACR tonight, i can say its BY FAR better then brotherhood!
technically a better game then AC2 even, only thing stopping me from saying so was AC2 was such a leap forward and this is not.
but expecting the leap from brotherhood to this to be the same gap as 1 to 2 is just ridiculous!
i dont see IGN marking uncharted 3 down for being the same game!

Killzone 3

However I think that the price will be too much and as the ps3 drops in price its just going to dominate even more.
