Sony Appreciates MW3 For Increased PSN Activity
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3It's certainly true that Call of Duty is more popular among the Xbox crowd.
But hey, it's just plain popular everywhere. While there were 3.3 million unique players and 7 million multiplayer hours logged on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network experienced quite the uptick in activity as well after Activision's new shooter arrived.
Jack Tretton, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America, had this to say concerning the impact MW3 had on the PSN:
"In just over a week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been hugely successful on PlayStation 3, and continues to drive millions of gamers globally to PlayStation Network with its unprecedented and engaging online multiplayer experience. The Call of Duty franchise is one of the biggest entertainment brands on the planet, delivering gameplay experiences like no other which is why we're also excited to bring the Call of Duty franchise to our highly-anticipated next generation portable, PlayStation Vita, where we expect fans will continue their dedication to the most amazing Call of Duty experiences whether in the home or on the go."
See? It isn't just Xbox players who love the game; CoD is always a worldwide phenomenon. We could add that a game like Alan Wake sold like crap on Microsoft's platform, while a game like Heavy Rain succeeded beautifully on the PS3, but that'd be making some sort of judgment about the two sets of owners, and besides, there are always other factors involved. 'cough'

as for enslaved, its a great game. however, all the stupid bugs and glitches ruined the experience. i actually liked enslaved. but seeing the voice and actions unsync a bunch of times wears on you. its practically an unpolished game. felt like they rushed it out and it kinda shows with how much faith ninja theory had on it. their interviews about enslaved sounded like they had very low expectations on the game.

i play multiplayer games on live and solos on ps3, live is better than psn when it comes to matchmaking, play halo reach co-ops and firefights and u will see what i am talking about, ps3 and 360 both are awesome in their own way, i give ps3 an edge because of it's gargatuan list of exclusive games which attract me most and i love 360 because halo reach and gears horde mode is such an awesome source of fun u cant deny that.
Play on both console if u can afford and stop comparing them.

I don't play online. Online is a kiddie domain and someone my age has no interest in playing with adolescents. If I play online, it's usually in games where I don't need to use my mic.
Why don't you male teenagers do something more constructive with your free time other than just playing video games? Find a girlfriend. Learn how to use proper grammar. Go outside and get some exercise. Don't you get tired of non-stop sausage parties with the typical that plays Modern Warfare 3?

We are gamer first and fans second, playing all the good games of all the platforms is what makes us a true gamer, and i come to this site becuase Ben's reviews are fantastic and he never says dun buy a 360 or dun play on it

you gotta admit though that those games are the 360's biggest exclusive games. they have to make those as close to perfect as possible. matchmaking and stuff like that depends on the the game developers themselves and not the network itself.

I believe if they are not playing Call of Duty MW3 there on Home trying to pick up young ladies even if the a ready have a bf. After exams every year, I go out with a group of uni mates to LAN. This time we played MW3, for 3 hours straight. I wont lie- I had a fun time. But I was appalled by how similar the game was to MW2. And is it just me, or is it even easier to kill people this time round? I don't think it's unfair to call COD mediocre. The quality of the game is most certainly not, but the experience it presents is I'm afraid.

If you're going to make a suggestion that people should read a certain article or site, then you should also put the link address to it into your post too.
I doubt any of us have the added time needed to go hunting around everywhere for any recommended articles/sites otherwise.

Tried both heavy rain and alan wake - found both tedious - but I guess im lucky to get an hour or 1/2 hr blast of fun online before I get commanded to stop by 'she who must be obeyed' so can't really get into those type of games.
I thought the margin of MW3 on consoles was only something like 56% - 44% in favor of xbox?

Also... low blow to the 360 crowd there. Last check, AW sold a mil, which is considerably higher than the combined total of Enslaved and Catherine, both of which were rather intelligent.
