PSXE Poll Update: Battlefield 3 Has The Edge Over MW3
See Full ImageWhen it comes to the two biggest shooters of the year, there will always be discussion and argument.
And when both titles release within a couple weeks of one another after about ten solid months of hype, the conversation is going to hit a fever pitch. So we wanted to know: BF3 or MW3?
Well, maybe it wasn't surprising given our readership but DICE's Battlefield 3 was the winner in terms of overall quality. We gave both games the same score (9.0) because we believe the single-player campaign in BF3 has the edge, while the multiplayer in MW3 is a little better. As for you guys, it seemed like a pretty clear result, although a significant percentage said they were disappointed by both games, despite the crazy hype.
This week, after more than a few readers have said they'd like a PSX Extreme t-shirt, we've decided to ask: would you be willing to pick one up? Obviously, it wouldn't cost a ridiculous amount; we could make some up if enough people were interested. Just make sure they're the the heavier material one, and not the flimsier ones that some company's try to pawn off with a cheaper price.
BTW Ben,
While your checking around for making up some PSX shirts, maybe you could also ask them about PSX baseball caps too.

It was such a poor choice to have you play the very end of the game at the very beginning, it added nothing but another 10 minutes to the game and left me knowing exactly what was going to happen and completely ruined it for me! Good thing this generation is all hyped up on the MP it's the only thing that saves BF3 for me. Don't get me wrong though I may complain about how the story ended but the gameplay was absolutely great! I do love BF3, maybe just not as much as the poll suggests.
MW3 had the best campaign in the series, and once again left my jaw dropped as I was caught up in the action sequences. And the MP is as good as ever and the minor improvements keep the mp feeling to some extent fresh. Needless to say MW3 accomplished what it set out to: attract millions, supply endless amounts of gameplay that's accessible and entertaining!

Not that I would say MW3 is better - just very different.
Loving both games - these will be my online play for some time to come. (as well as the occasional Medal of Honor and Homefront session)

i was really surprised with MW3, i thought it was going to have a really rushed, confusing story like 2 did but the campaign and story were actually allot better.
BF3 though, well.
DICE i still love ya, but what the %$#@ were you thinking!?
BF3 started off so well, but the later you get into the campaign the more of a COD rip off it feels.
the first few missions were exactly what you would expect from a BF game, but after that it just turns into COD.
why oh why?
im still really pissed they lied to us!
they promised all this time that the PC version was the lead platform, then the game comes out and they say oh BTW we lied the PC was not the lead platform the ps3 was.
why?

destruction has been toned down so much, and graphics wise theres heaps of games on PC that blow it into the middle of last year!
i had massive expectations for BF3, and as usual i was let down.
all we got was a COD wannabe with crappy graphics, and unbelievably bad destruction.
i REALLY hope DICE dont do a BC game next, they need a break from shooters.
they need to sit back and go do ME2, then sit back and see how far they have strayed from there pack.
BC was such a awesome game, a typical DICE game exactly what you would expect from them!
then BC2 came out and was half BC, and half COD.
now this comes out and is a 10th MoH which you would expect, which it should be, and the rest COD.
DICE need to stop trying to copy COD, otherwise all there going to do is drive their fans away.
i can see them becoming the next $E!

Same lag and you think all the money craptivision has they could afford dedicated servers?? Even with the re-vamped perk and strike/care packages mw3 feels like 2. MW3 saving grace is the SP campaign it was pretty fun but i clocked it at 6 1/2 hours. Survival is decent but ive yet to matchmake with others online. I ask myself how long can this COD phenomenon last. Its fun for a while but it eventually gets old. Am i the only one who feels this way?? (scratches head again)

U should take the time and play other better games instead, I guess once u like FPS games alot it's hard to move away.

You can keep a weapon of choice, you use a prestige token to carry a weapon through the Prestiges, it increases class slots which will come in handy, because you'll have more weapons to use for certain situations, I've had games where I would think; "Damn! I wish I had this weapon right now, it would come in handy!"
And that's your opinion, I don't think it is. And like I said multiple times, I don't pay for anything, not even the maps, I get them off of friends, I don't like Elite, and don't care for it, I don't like paying for services so that's out of the question not going to happen.
I like variety, why do you think I play all kinds of games? I don't just play one game and say F that game. I don't only play FPS games, I play Action Adventure, RPG games, MMORPG, sometimes board games and others, not just FPS games.
Just because I play CoD once in awhile doesn't mean I only play that Specific game, and hate on other games because it's not like CoD. I don't want other developers to copy CoD, it's a bad move, CoD is NOT the cream of the crop of FPS games, and that's my opinion, I only play it with friends, that's it. It's all it's good for.
I'm not buying anymore CoD games, I'm putting it towards more better games that actually care about the fanbase of players, MW3 still has problems, they didn't even optimize it that well for PS3, exclusivity of maps for xbox is fine, but making a crappy port for PS3 is unacceptable with multiple people working on it, I'm basically done now for any more CoD games.

I'm glad that u like variety of games it's just prestiging in Call of Duty games is a waste of extra time for me. After I reach Commander I just like to keep my weapons and hope a hacker doesn't f*** me up, hahaha.
