Skilled BlazBlue US Players: A Chance To Take On Japan

Think you've got the stuff to go up against the world's best in one of the most complex, demanding fighters in existence?

Aksys Games has revealed the BlazBlue Revolution, the world's biggest BlazBlue tournament. It'll kick off in Japan in March 2012; the contest features 3-on-3 action and if you've got skills, you might be able to participate. Just gotta win here first.

Aksys will sponsor the winning team of the BlazBlue Revolution US Finals by giving them full airfare and hotel accommodations in Japan; that team will have the honor of representing the stars and stripes in the Japanese finals. And if the US team - by some miracle - is able to win the whole damn thing, an "extra bonus prize" will be awarded. Don't know what it is, but it sounds appealing.

The full details will be announced on December 17 at BlazBlueRevolution.com. By the way, the US Finals will take place on February 25 in Southern California (venue TBA), and it'll be the same format: 3v3 Double Elimination using BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND console version.

This is gonna be wacky. Good luck!

This is THE best fighting game of this gen. Incredible graphics, massive amount of combos for every character, flashy combos that take a thousand command inputs to execute, not button masher, and truly 2D.

To get good at this game one has to put a lot of time and effort to have a chance of doing a decent combo. That is why I love this game, it is truly rewarding when you get your butt kicked online, but 1 or 2 months later you own people online.

Every fighting fan should at least try this game and get to see how beautifuly crafted it is. Arc System Works have put some incredible effort in doing this the best fighting game this gen.

I wish I could play it, every time when I play a fighting game and it gets intense i get arthritis in my fingers, and sometimes cramps. It happened a lot when I played Arcana Heart. :/ BlazBlue looks awesome though I don't think I could play it for long periods with the way my fingers are though.

BlazBlue Continuum Shift is my favorite game of the generation for sure! Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to make it to California in time :P

The other thing I don't get is why it has to be EXTEND. No one here has EXTEND (right?) and it would make a lot more sense to practice on what I've got.

hmmmmmmm, i wonder if there resurrecting that fire and ice game which was in development right after shaolin monks released.
oh i hope so!
the most requested MK game has been a sequel to that, and having scorpion and sub zero, the 2 most popular characters in the series would be awesome!
