Jaffe On Rumored Sony Brawler: If True, Count Me In
See Full ImageThe rumor has been flying for a while: Sony might be working on a Super Smash Bros.-type fighter featuring popular PlayStation mascots.
Apparently, this rumor has received another boost thanks to leaked screenshots. These come from an employee's Twitter account, but the evidence has since been removed.
As for the possibility of such a title existing, Eat Sleep Play boss David Jaffe can't confirm anything, but he certainly loves the idea, and hopes it becomes a reality:
"4 folks asking if I know anything about this rumored Sony brawler:news to me but if it is real, count me super jazzed! Been wanting a game like that for a while! I can tell you I know some of the folks over at Superbot and whatever they R making- I genuinely don't have a clue- I am sure will be very cool cause they got some great talents over there!"
Yeah, it's something a lot of ardent PlayStation fans have wanted to see. And now that we have more Sony mascots that ever, the timing could be perfect to pit Drake against Cole or Kratos against Rico. Sony has yet to announce anything official concerning this project but when and if they do, it's gonna be pretty big.

Just like Killzone is a shooter with similar to CoD mechanics...
This game could be alot like Brawl but with all PS characters. Though I really want final fantasy people in it too. Squall vs Cloud vs Crash vs Jehuty! lol

I love Super Smash Bros, but I found it a little too fast, a little too chaotic and the Wii controls made it really tough at times to keep control of my fighter.
I hope Sony find a nice balance between arcade beat em ups and hardcore fighting games, cos an exact replica of Super Smash Bros would be more harmful to its reputation.

Throw in Chimera if you're playing as Nathan Hale, or the Helghast if playing as Sev. Zues from God of War, and perhaps an evil spirit risen from an ancient relic from the Unchated games. :)

The reconfiguration and module exchanges are easy and do not require any special knowledge or training. Such robots are economic because a single robot can provide diverse behaviors and can be changed frequently.
Not sure how good they are at making games though. But if it is just a brawler then how hard can it be, really?

Also, I don't get the screenshot. The first pic shows the modeling of a woman, but who, in Sony's franchise, could it be? Lara Croft? Second one is a pretty good model of Sweet Tooth I guess. Third one, wtheck?
