Voice Actor's Resume Hints At RE6 Development Stage
Sometimes I wonder how web surfers find these things. What would compel you to look at a random actor's website in the first place? Or did a simple search for "Resident Evil 6" somehow bring it up?
Well, at any rate, a reader has sent us a link to voice actor Joe Cappelletti's website, where his full resume is on display. He has already worked on a few of the biggest games of the generation (Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception), and another upcoming title is on the list, too: Resident Evil 6.
It probably won't come as any surprise to learn that Capcom is knee-deep in RE6 production right now, but we haven't heard anything official about the project. Many fans are wondering if the team will make some of those suggested changes; many don't like the outdated tank controls, and others weren't big supporters of the partner mechanic (although I thought it worked extremely well).
Here's hoping Capcom unveils the next RE before the end of the year...

IMO, RE6 will probably be another action-shooter. One that tries to cater to the crowd that made RE5 a hit.
I hope that I'm wrong on that, but Capcom will probably prove me right.

However, I fully expect this game to be ported to the Vita sooner or later. Probably sooner considering that the Vita is already popular in Japan (voted as the most wanted handheld).
So keep an eye out for it, until RE6 is finished and comes out in a couple of years.

Yeah mate i forgot about RE: Revelations, that looks like a step into the right direction but other than DOA: Dimensions, it is not enough alone for me to warrant a purchase of the 3DS. So fingers crossed for a Vita appearance as you said.
On RE6 i heard earlier that they intend on making it the most gruesome RE of them all, & considering some of the death scenes in RE4 that is saying something. I am also hoping for a return of some of the classic RE characters like Claire Redfield & Ada too. But like yourself a part of me wouldn't surprise me if Capcom made RE6 more action orientated again. I will be relieved when i see some classic style corridor horror gameplay footage that doesn't involve infected fiends on motorbikes & zombies dressed like commandos.

All I really know about RE6 is it will be a complete reimagining of series taking it back to its survival horror roots.
RE5 will rank as one my most dissapointing experiences of this gen. Not becuase of the tank controls(it was not all that different than RE4) but becuase of the overall atmosphere of the game. A lot the RE vibe seemed to be lost. It was really more of a watered down action title. Hell, The Lost in Nightmares DLC was way more fun than any part of main game in RE5. At least it nailed the creepy setting and atmosphere. If Capcom follows up on the tone set in the TLN DLC and updates the controls it should work out okay.

The best RE games ever were RE1, RE2 & RE3. All of them first saw the light of day on the PS1. And all of them were actual survival-horror games.
If my memory serves me well, the PS2 just had some RE spin-offs (Outbreak, Dead Aim/Survivor) and two ports (CV, RE4).

Aside from the 3D element, the game could very well be ported to the Vita in a few months (after the exclusivity deal wears off - if there is any in place).
I think it will happen once the Vita becomes popular and Capcom has to meet a demand for their games on it.

they say this is going to be much more survival horror then the previous 2 games.
though, they say lots of things!
it would be nice though, to have a RE 1-3 styled game with RE5 quality graphics.
though, such a thing only exists in my head and i seriously doubt it will ever leave there.
crapcom are far too convinced we want mindless action shooters, rather then slow paced horror games.
so them going back to the old formula seems as likely as naughty dog going back and doing a crash reboot!
would be f*cking awesome though!

This time let's axe co-op & the Gears of War cover system & go back to the survival horror roots.
